We are a team of big kids dedicated to imagineering cool stuff that puts the brakes on tiring travel and the smiles back on family faces.

"We believe travel is about new experiences, creating memories and making every journey just as enjoyable as the destination. We understand that whilst parents buy products, children make friends with them, so everything we create has the functionality that grown-ups value, and the personality that kids adore. We have a team of talented imagineers that are dedicated to making travelling with tots a doddle. They use ingenious design (and a little bit of fairy dust) to create products for every journey, whether it's a day trip to the zoo, or a round the world trip" - Rob Law MBE  - Founder, CEO & Trunki Daddy.

Re-use: We make our products extra durable so they can be handed down and used by the next generation. Recycle: Trunki ride-ons were specifically designed for disassembly, meaning that any returns we receive can be recycled.

n 2012, a two year long project to bring Trunki home came to fruition when the first UK made ride-on suitcase (aptly, - a London 2012 Olympics Trunki!) sprinted off the production line!

The Trunki Story

  • Rob Law entered a university competition to design a piece of luggage. He visited a department store for inspiration and ended up looking at ride-on toys. He thought about how to utilise the wasted space, and the idea for Trunki was born. Rob went on to win the competition.

  • Rob received a grant from the Prince's Trust to get his business off the ground. Later that year he signed a licensing deal with a Saudi Arabian toy company.

  • The toy company went into liquidation, it wasn't the launch pad that Rob had hoped for and instead he decided to go it alone.

  • The first container of Trunki ride-ons arrived at Avonmouth completely unaware that they would revoluntionise family travel!

  • Rob took Trunki into the Dragon's Den, it was all going well, he even took Richard Farleigh for a spin, but things took a turn for the worst when Theo Paphitis got into fistycuffs with Trixie...

  • With a rapidly growing team, we moved into our new office - a converted Chapel that we've nicknamed the Mothership, which comes complete with a games room and escape chute (or slide!)

  • Our first major product launch following Trunki was BoostApak. The ingenious booster seat come backpack sold out within just 6 hours of being online!

  • Trunki Daddy, Rob Law picked up an MBE in the New Years Honours. He even took a very special Corgi Trunki with him to accept it.

  • BoostApak was selected to be featured on 'The Apprentice'. It was taken to France and broke boardroom records for receiving the biggest order of all the time!

  • We celebrated the sale of our one millionth Trunki by dressing up like space folk.

  • On our 6th birthday, the first UK made Trunki rolled off the production line at our factory in Plymouth.

  • We took our first foray into the world of TV advertising with the help of those talented folk at Aardman Animations to show off our adorable aquatic creatures, PaddlePak!

  • We scooped our 90th award from Sir Richard Branson! We came 42nd in the Sunday Times FT 100, and picked up the coveted innovation award.

  • To celebrate the sale of our 2 millionth Trunki, we had a spooktacular Halloween do!

  • We launched our new Hello Kitty Licensed suitcase, which was a roaring success - especially across South East Asia.

  • and our PaddlePaks made their debut amongst the bright lights of Times Square!

  • The launch of Trunki Made4Me allowed fans to go online and design their very own bespoke Trunki, with a billion colour combinations to choose from.

  • Boris the London bus zoomed into first place at London Toyfair 2015, picking up best speciality toy. Beep Beep!

  • Today we're a team of 35, distributing our products to 97 countries worldwide. Our next goal is to get Trunki on the moon!
